The slipknot is the first thing you will need to learn when you crochet. This important knot helps you create the foundation chain, the next step in crocheting.
Slipknots can be tricky, but once you get the hang of them, they are extremely useful and effective. Since everyone is different, I’ve made a video to show three different ways to make this type of knot:
For those of you that are curious, I’m using a 5mm Furls Crochet hook. I love the Furls hooks. I find that my hands hurt less using Furls and my stitches are even and smooth.
